Loose Diamond - Please Help

I'm looking for a lose diamond to be placed in an E-ring. I admit to not having done enough research, and I promise I will do so before making any purchases. From the research I have done I've come accross some diamonds that seem nice. If you could please tell me any pros or cons you see on these diamonds it would be greatly appreciated. Also if anyone could give me a quick guide to what I should look for in Table and Depth, it would also be appreciated. To let you know what I'm in the market for, I'm looking for around a 1.5ct round diamond, VS1, F-color. I'm planning to put the diamond in a Michael B. lace setting. Thanks for any advice and help.

First two Diamonds are from Whiteflash, the remaining diamonds are from BlueNile. (Should I be looking at any other stores?)

Can you get the rest of the measurements on stones 2 - 5, in particular the crown and pavillion angles? Have you seen Idealscopes of any of these? Have you seen them in person? Stone number 1 has some excellent potential btw.........
 
One looks good, and possibly 2, but need angles.
 
 
4 is also blech. 2 and 3 need more information. You will not get any more for 3 unless you get an appraisal, and I think 2 is a bit much to pay. 1 is ok.
 
Thanks JulieN.... but is there any way you can tell me why its Bleech... You obviously could tell almost immediately. I''m trying to get so I can review diamonds and be an informed consumer... If you could let me know any of your reasons, I''d greatly appreciate it.
 
5. The pavilion angle is 41.6, too deep.
4. Table is large, which means that there are less combinations of angles that work with it. The crown is 35.5, and the pavilion is 41.2, which is not a good combination.
 
brenn, this is a tool that I got at the top of the page, under Tools. If you plug all the numbers in from your first stone, you''ll find it gets a score under 2 (1.6). That''s where you want to be looking for stones that are candidates for top performers. It will help you weed out the less desirable stones.

#1 is a very good price for an F VS1 at 1.5 cts.
 
Stone 3 to 5 are fantastic examples of how the new GIA-Cut grade can lead to more steep-deep stones on the market. Even with the Excellent-grade, these stones end up with a diameter that is clearly less than what should be expected from a 1.50-Ct-stone.

Also, we had a big argument on the use of ''Ideal'' by vendors, and the consumers'' consensus was in the line that ''Ideal'' can be used for a well-cut stone, while ''AGS-Ideal'' can only be used for a stone with an AGS-Ideal grading report. In these 3 cases, I wonder how the classification ''Ideal'' should be viewed.

Is it ''Ideal'' (a well-cut stone) because the stone has a GIA-Excellent cut-grade, regardless of its true performance?

Or if we did not know the GIA-grade, and only would see the Idealscope-pics of these stones, with their probable ring of central light leakage, would we still consider them well-cut?

1.54 F VS2 GIA excellent for $15720 1.2 on the HCA
