I have a platinum ring with a loose diamond - 5 stone channel set …not you’re typical channel set, it’s a little like a shared prong but instead of a prong, it’s a channel. Anyway apparently the bar that holds the diamond needs to be rebuilt.
Does anyone know a good reasonable jewelry repair place in the Northern VA, Washington DC area? I need to either get it fixed or sell it. I don’t wear it all that much….it is very pretty though, and with plat prices I’d imagine I could sell it for a decent amt….fwiw, it’s a 5 stone .7 ctw I’d have to double check but vs diamonds F color… 6.25 grams total plat weight….if anyone has any ideas on it’s aftermarket worth, I’d be interested in that too.
