Shape: Round
Carat Wt. 0.71
Cut: Ideal
Color: J
Clarity: VS1
Certificate: GIA
Depth: 61.9
Table: 55.0
Polish: VG
Symmetry: VG
Girdle: Thin to slightly thick
Culet: None

From the GIA report:

Cut grade: Excellent
Clarity characteristics: Crystal, cloud
Crown: 34.5
Pavilion: 40.6

And Warren at JA said it was eye clean.

PS price - $1880

Is this worth the price or can I do better??

At that carat weight, i would drop in clarity to a SI1 (eye-clean of course) and look for a better color, perhaps I or H if it''s in budget.

Jamesallen prices are definitely competitive with the other vendors on PS.

Hi there! Welcome to Pricescope.

Here is how it did on the HCA http://www.pricescope.com/cutadviser.asp

You can use this tool to compare prices http://www.pricescope.com/sift.aspx

It scored nice. If it is eye clean it could be nice to have an image of the stone or a Ideal scope image?

Factor Grade
Light Return Excellent
Fire Excellent
Scintillation Excellent
Spread
or diameter for weight Very Good
Total Visual Performance 0.8 - Excellent
within TIC range

Looks to be a promising diamond, as Skip says, an Idealscope image would be useful, JA should be able to supply one if you ask.

Here is the Idealscope image of the stone - comments??

Sorry to be a pita - I'm still a newb and don't fully trust my own judgement yet, LOL!

Anyone??

Looks lovely!

Looks like a nice stone!

The stone is officially off the market!

I''m new here too!

I''m just curious, what are you going to do with the stone?
Are you going to put it on a ring?

I''m only asking because I am considering buying a diamond from one store and asking another store to set it. But the store to set the diamond would probably not cover ring setting work under their insurance. So I''m see if there''s a way around that.

And what is JA? and how come their prices are so much cheaper than the place I went to check. I went to Spence Diamonds in Canada and a diamond of your caliber would cost$3000+!! How can I get a deal like yours?

Sorry for all the questions, but thanks in advance for the help!!

Friced welcome to Pricescope!

JA means the vendor James Allen. Please go ahead and start your own thread in Rocky Talk and we will be pleased to help you in anyway we can!
