Hi everyone, I'm looking into upgrading my E-ring. My current ring is 3 stone, 2ct Radiant center stone with 2 dream cut (.7ct each) side stones. I'm looking for 3-3.5ct diamond to be set in micro pave band. I like Asscher and Cushion cut diamonds, but as I looked through the forum I realized that I preferred the diamonds that sparkles......so I think step cut diamonds are not for me. That leaves me to Cushion, but where I live not many jewelers(actually I haven't found jewelers who carry the cushion cut yet)

, so I'm starting to re-consider the Round cut now. I LOVE how cushion looks, but it's really hard for me to decide on the cut without seeing one in person, especially not having much of a knowledge about diamonds at all.
Does anyone know the particular internet vendors or B&M store in Michigan who carry a decent stock for Round and Cushion? What is the 1st step I can take to find the stone I'm looking for?

I would look at the different kinds of cushions (that GOG usually has good shots of) to help narrow down which type
you like. I dont know what most of them are called but ChunkyCushionLover can help you. He knows a lot about
cushions.

I think thats the best thing is to go and try some different shapes on in person, many times a buyer has thought they want a particular shape, tried on something different and fallen in love with something they thought they wouldn't get.

Do you prefer to purchase from a store or are you willing to buy online? Another option could be an oval, if well cut these can look classic and beautiful so it might be worth viewing those too.

Thats a large stone you are looking for also, so it might be worth contacting one of the vendors if you decide to buy online to see what they can find for you.

If you want to find out more about cushions then this video is an excellent resource for the new buyer here.

wintotty, one of the PS vendors, Pearlman''s is located in Battle Creek, MI. If they are close to you I would give them a call and see if they have any cushions on hand.
