I've been researching the internet like crazy trying to make sure I get the best diamond my money can buy. I keep hearing that it's important that the depth be greater than the table for a princess cut. I'm looking at this one at Blue Nile. The depth is 67% and the table is 68%. Are these specs something I should stay away from? Also, how much merit should I give to the diamond's "excellent" rating in the optical brilliance analysis under the GCAL report?
Also, I'm trying to put the specs for this diamond into the HCA calculator and it tells me it should not be considered for purchase. I'm not sure if I'm putting in the correct numbers though. Is there any chance someone who actually knows that they're talking about see what this diamond rates on the HCA?
