I've been reading on PS a lot lately and decided to purchase the e-ring from JA. I've found out that my fiancee' likes smaller diamonds. Any shape, except marquise, heart, pear, or emerald.

I'm looking for a diamond between .40-.65, that while smaller, has fire & sparkle that will really "wow" her in a setting that will allow the maximum showing of the stone. My budget at this time is about $1,300 total.

I know cut is incredibly important to determine if the diamond will sparkle; I'm just a little overwhelmed looking at JA's site. It's hard to narrow some down.

I really like this setting:

or the 4-prong knife-edge:

My two cents...the first setting is rather wide (3mm) for a half carat stone. The second one would be my choice. It is 2mm and
a little cheaper allow a little more for the stone.

Edit...
Here are some stones that might work for you. They arent the cleanest of stones but they fit in your budget. Several of them
are AGS000 stones. The first one is my favorite.

Thank you. I was wondering about stone size, relative to band size. I think that 2nd band will be my choice- now to just find a diamond!
