Looking to buy Diamond for Engagement Ring Soon..

Hi All.

I've been looking for a while and I recently put the setting/band on layaway but decided to buy my diamond myself since it saves a lot over most retailers. After reading many posts and articles, I've avoided the IGI and EGL traps. My budget is $4400

Looking for a Round, around .94-1.00 or so Carat, H or better, SI1 or better.

What does anyone think of this?

I contacted about the stone and was told this is being sourced from outside the USA. Is this an area of concern? I'm mainly looking for an eye clean, beautiful stone. The band/setting is a Halo style. Thanks ahead for anyone's input and suggestions.

How much is that diamond?

For what your budget is, I find it hard to believe that diamond fits into your budget since it is an F color and very good cut. The only way I see it being under your budget is that it is not eye clean. I would stick with James Allen or White Flash.

$4,233.34 they wanted after wire disc.

A 1.9 HCA, but sort of unusual proportions on that thing. Then again, with GIA averages, it's probably closer to a 60/60 than it appears.
