Looking To Buy A Ring

Okay, I was having a custom ring designed by an online retailer but it looks like they are not going to meet one of their commitments. We''ll see; maybe they will or maybe they''ll make it up to me in some other way. In the meantime, I''m looking for another ring (no time left to go somewhere else for my custom ring).

My girlfriend doesn''t know about this, so I''m the one picking out the ring. We both like something that is simple yet complex; basically no bling-bling but still a wow factor, probably in a classic type way. Price range should be between $900 to $1100 (though my custom ring was more like $2000). Antique style seems good, but not art-deco. I actually have found one that I like and am ready to buy from Abazias:

I''m just surprised that out of a dozen sites or so that I have checked, this is the only one that appeals to me - I''d like to have a choice.

I have until next Friday, when I find out about my custom ring. Suggestions are appreciated!

(And no, I''m not mentioning the site that may have messed up my custom ring order because they still have an opportunity to fix it or make it up to me; so it wouldn''t be fair at this point.)

If you really want your custom, how about just proposing with a simple solitaire, or even just the loose diamond? Then you can tell her that you are having a custom ring designed just for her, but just couldn''t wait any longer to propose and you will have the diamond reset in her ring when it is dond.

It's a good suggestion. But my gf told me that if I ever propose the ring is more important to her than the diamond. At one point she even suggested she didn't care if there was a diamond. Of course, she backed off of that after thinking about it. So if I don't have the right setting when I propose to her it is going to be a big, big downer. At the very least I have to have Option 2 ready to go. I really like the Abazias ring, I did even before I started my custom ring. It's possible there won't be problems with my custom or they'll make it up to me. But I have to break the emotional connection with it and start becoming committed to a ring that I can buy now.
