Since Gypsy already helped me find a number of suitable stones from JA - now I turn back to the experts of PS to find this setting.

_19359.jpg

I believe when asked the diamonds on the side were 20 point. I was told it was a pretty common setting, so hoping I can find something very similar.

I was able to find this on a local jewelers website after we drove by the billboard and the gf remarked how much she liked it. I've talked to the local jeweler, but the place is very expensive.

I'm trying to stay around $1,500.00 or less for the ring itself. If this is not doable, please also say so.

Just found something similar at Gabriel NY - anyone have any experience with one of their rings?

There were posting of Gabriel settings in SMTB. They seem to be well made and priced well too but your links show 40pts total of side stones. As far as 20 pointers, your budget is too small to get that many 20 pointer side stones as shown in first photo.

Thank you for the response, I figured my budget would not allow for it. Approximately how much higher would I have to go up for that?

In addition what is SMTB for a rookie around here?

Whiteflash also has a similar ring:

I believe Whiteflash is vendor of PS, so I should have no worries dealing with them, correct?

WF is a recommended PS vendor, so no worries there. You can ask them for a quote on ct wt you're looking for which is 8 stones at 20pts each = 1.60ct. As price reference, here's JA setting with 4 18pointers http://www.jamesallen.com/engagement-rings/side-stones/18k-white-gold-common-prong-four-round-diamond-engagement-ring-item-7747

SMTB is the subforum where sparklies are shown off. Here are couple links to PSers' Gabriel settings https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/show-me-your-gabriel-co-settings.156900/

Also consider that side stones should be proportionate to center. The original pic has a very large center so 20 pointers look appropriate but would look off next to 1ct center.

Thanks baby monster - makes sense. 20 pt would most likely overpower the center stone.
