Looking for some help with diamond pictures

So, I think I've finally decided upon a diamond for the ring I'm getting made. My call out for help is over the pictures I was sent. They sent me the Hearts, Arrows, ASET, and Idealscope pictures in addition to the actual photo of the diamond. I have no idea what I'm really looking at in these photos. The HCA score is 1.7, so the cut should be pretty good.

Can someone tell me if this is a good looking diamond based on these photos?

It's a very well cut stone indeed, but it isn't cut to H&A standards if that is what you are looking for, it doesn't show a crisp and precise H&A ' footprint' judging from the images. If you want a ' true' H&A diamond then I would advise you to keep looking, if you want an excellently cut stone that should perform and you aren't bothered about having spot on H&A images, then this could be the one.

Yes, of course! 'True' H&A diamonds are cut to the most exacting standards to show crisp and precise optical symmetry - the patterning if you will- that you see in the hearts and arrows images. The top branded H&A diamonds not only demonstrate flawless patterning but are also proportioned to strict standards in order to maximize light performance. Crisp optical symmetry aka H&A patterning for the sake of this post fine tunes the diamond so the stone performs to the utmost. One can see the highest levels of scintillation, contrast, fire ( dispersion), and of course brilliance from a diamond cut to the highest level of precision, all the facets work together to produce crisp patterning and the maximum level of light return.

The diamond in question shows a good standard of cut precision in so far as the optical symmetry or H&A patterning. However, there are slight deviations that show the pattern isn't as crisp as it could be. Please see the link below for examples and a basic explanation.

Is this a problem? Not necessarily if you aren't bothered about having picture perfect H&A patterning on image. If so, then look at some of the branded H&A diamonds from vendors such as Crafted by Infinity ( High Performance Diamonds), Brian Gavin Signature, Whiteflash, Good old Gold and so on. If you just want an excellently cut diamond that should perform with a nice image patterning, this diamond could definitely be a contender, looks like it could be a beautiful stone.

I hope this helps a bit, I just wanted to make you aware that if you did want a true H&A diamond, and I assume that might be the case as you posted all the images and asked for opinions on them, that the images show that you could find one with slightly more uniform patterning so to speak.
