I''m new to the forum and I have a lot of reading to do, but I wanted to see if someone could help me out with a setting. I saw this http://benbridge.com/bb_store/catalog/Ben-Bridge-Signature-Diamond-ring-in-platinum-p-6565.html and really like the setting.

It''s hard to see from the angle of the photo, but it is a tulip design unlike the standard 4-prong "tulip" setting. This one actually looks like tulip petals.

Unfortunately the setting is only for their signature diamond and I just can''t afford that at the moment. But I love the setting.

Anyone know where I might be able to get something similar?

Thanks,

Welcome, Maestro.

Are you wanting a 3 stone setting, or just the tulip for a solitaire or in a semi-mount?

Another view of the WF U-prong 3 stone:

somethingshiny - I think I am leaning more towards a solitaire now. I''d love to find some kind of organic looking tulip setting in a solitaire.

Lyra - thanks for the photos. The one I''m looking for is a bit different. I suppose the best way to describe it is more "organic" looking. The lines are wavy and they actually look like leaves/petals... not metal prongs in the shape of a tulip.

'how about something like this from mondera.com? for some reason, i can't link it.

I have seen those and I kind of like them, but they''re not really like the BB setting. The setting you showed still has very hard/straight lines.

softer like this rendering? it''s from the not-yet-launched www.markmorrell.com site. his current site is www.mwmjewelry.com

and its 5 points!

I''d love to see more like that if anyone has seen any

Oh man, you found a setting I really like, and a quick search shows typical 3-6 month waiting list, and his website says he''s not even taking new orders for at least a month.

mark''s setting is definitely unique. how soon do you need it?

I don''t now if you like this setting but I think it is just exquisite

you could possibly get it done without the pave but it is beautiful this was as well Leon Mege Flower head pave ring.

the MM setting looks exquisite! I''ve never seen it before.

I love that too, but unless the OP has a 3 carat stone I suspect it wouldn''t look nearly as terrific? You couldn''t get that same look with a one carat.
Sure wish I had a big stone laying around somewhere

Why don''t you see if you can get something similar made by WF, Quest or perhaps http://www.greenlakejewelry.com

If it''s not perfect you can tweek the design to something more your liking. But I think custom is the way to go if you don''t want to wait that long and if you would like a few things different.

Without the side stones in the render, does anyone know approximately how much I should expect to pay for a custom designed ring like that?
