Looking for setting ideas

I have just gotten an asscher eternity band. It is currently sent in 18k white gold uprong setting. And while it is lovely, it just isn't doing it for me. I really want to have it reset. I am going to have it redone in platinum but I am looking for something a little more special.

I am thinking about maybe a cross trellis but I am not 100 % sure. I really like the idea of the the curves of the trelis against the lines of the asscher.

But that being said I am open to ideas.

for reference the stones are .25 and there are 20 of them and my finger size is 4.5.

I am thinking a trellis would set the stones too high for a full eternity. I like eternity rings to be set as low as possible. Can you return the ring and start over? Because that will be a killer to have to buy a new platinum setting that will likely have to be custom made when you already have a new 18k setting.

I am ok with the setting being a little higher, as for returning it that isn't an option. As I have had it for several months, living with it trying to decide how I felt about it. I like it I just don't love it. And since it is for my 20th anniversary (together) with my Hubby I really want to LOVE it.
