Any of our PS vendors carry these?

I'd be surprised if ID didn't carry them. I'd call and ask (make sure to mention you are a PSer with ID).

I don't know how you feel about Costco jewelry, but they have some for around 2K. Sapphires down the middle, diamonds on both sides.

ooooooh, if you buys some please post because those sound gorgeous!!! I love sapphires and diamonds together

They just opened a Costco near me. Do you have to be a member to purchase anything there?

Couldn't find anything I like via our PS vendors.

Maybe I want them to be more like huggies so I can wear them everyday.

How about these?

I am not sure, but even though I am a yellow gold person, I think the diamond sapphire combo looks better in white gold rather than yellow gold. Here's a pair I found online in yellow gold.

This final pair I really like, but am not sure if they would be ok for everyday

Yes, but these are online. Just go to jewelry and gemstone earrings. I have been really happy with the pieces I have bought from them, and say if in 6 months you have a problem with a prong or something you can return them.

You still will have to join though. I have some beautiful heart shaped blue sapphire and diamond earring I bought from them.

Alternating color stones are my PET PEEVE! Gah. I don't know WHY?!!!! Seems like it would so entirely limit what you could wear with it and just says checkerboard checkerboard checkerboard!!!!!! (Which is super silly considering how much I adore STRIPES in design & clothing. And the fact that Sapphire is my birthstone.)

Of the choices so far I agree that white metal flatters that color combo more & I like the huggies you posted best.

ETA: I think the reason I like those best is that they skew the proportions away from the "checkerboard" style -- by making the sapphires larger and the diamonds just little accent stones. Somehow that seems more harmonious IMHO.

Blue Nile has some nice ones. Personally I like the alternating diamonds and sapphires and I do think the blue looks best in white gold.

OOOooh..... (squeal with delight!) :appl: :appl: :appl: These huggies are PERFECTION! They don't do the "checkerboard" as deco says and they are very comfortable and classic looking - good for dress up or every day. Definitely prefer the WG to YG if doing sapphire and diamonds.

I love the pretty delicate last option, but they wouldn't be a daily wear option in my world.

LOVE #1!!! Pick that one!!! :naughty:

Oooh, great thread! Diamonds and sapphires are my favorites.

I love the ones in the first picture and the estate sale best. Also, I prefer white gold instead of yellow gold for diamonds and sapphires.

HI:

http://oakgem.com/Products/Estate_Seaman_Schepps_18k_Gold_Diamond_Sapphire_Hoop_Earrings_1748.aspx

at least three pair of sapphire earrings--hoop, semi hoop style on this Estate site...

cheers--Sharon

I love the Modern 18k Gold French Cut Sapphire Diamond Earrings
and they are not expensive, though I am leaning towards the first pair I posted. I don't know how I am going to swing this because DH is online right now ordering a BluRay player since our 10 yr old Toshiba dvd player bit the dust this past weekend.

Love sapphires, the last two are beautiful!

Similar to the 1st pair you posted- I bought these sapphire diamond huggies at IDJ... some bad cell phone pics below... sorry I don't have any more pics. They're a gift, so all wrapped up already.

They're gorgeous. Could you provide a link to the page on ID Jewelry where I could find these? I looked but did not see them. Thanks!

Not sure if you saw these on the website... another pair of sapphire/diamond hoops: http://idjewelryonline.com/product_info.php?cPath=24_34&products_id=9862

Thanks! I did see these, but I like the other ones better. I showed my DH and he looked a little disappointed. I think he already got my Valentine's gift and I am guessing they are not sapphire/diamond hoops. I told him in case he was wondering what to get me for my birthday. I guess I have to wait another10 months
