Wedding Looking for Pronovias Ebano

Hi, does anyone recommend where I can find a Pronovias Ebano?
It seems the price I see online, on Ebay, online shops, it sells for $1400-1600.
Whereas the bridal shop, is selling for $2300.
I love this dress, but don''t want to get tricked into buying a knock-off, or who knows?

Hey that''s the dress I ALMOST bought! Love it!

The cheapest I saw it for around here was about $1900.00 in a bridal shop. I couldn''t see anywhere else online that was much better when I looked for it back in Dec/Jan. Sorry i''m not much help, the preowned sites are probably your best bet. It''s a unique dress though, very lovely. Prices should be coming down on it a bit more i''d think since its a 2007.

Have you tried Netbride.com ? I''m getting my dress through them and they are EXTREMELY reputable, and have just pages of rave reviews... including mine.

I am wearing Ebano. I would be willing to sell it after the wedding (end of this month).

I did make some alterations to the dress:
- removed the strap and put boning in to make it stay up.
- altered the bow (it looks NOTHING like the picture when it came in.) this is the 3rd Ebano that was sold from the bridal store where I got it from and they said all the Ebano dresses had bows like that. It pieces of silk and tullle that drapes in the back, not a bow like the picture. So the seamstress is fixing that for me.

That''s interesting to know about the bow. I had that problem when trying on the sample and I kept getting told it was just ''crushed'' and wouldn''t look like that on the actual dress. I had considered removing it as well had I bought the dress.

I just got my dress in on Friday. I cannot GUSH ENOUGH about how great Netbride is. Call them for a qoute or send them an email. They seriously rock. I saved serious $$ buying through them.

I''m living in Holland and got married on 14 May 2008, my dress was also an Pronovias Ebano. If someone is interestet i will sell it. It''s a size 38/40. That UK size 8-10? and US size 6-8?
I also removed the bow. The rest is still the same. Its prof. cleaned. If you want i can send you some photo''s.
