Hi,

Does anyone have an opinion on this diamond?

GIA Cert
1.78 ct RB
VG/VG
SI1 - F color
Culet - None
Fluor - None

The noted flaws on the cert are two small clouds out near the girdle and one small feather about 1/2 way between the girdle and the table. I wasn''t able to spot any of them without a loupe, even after finding them with the loupe and knowing what to look for and where to look. I also compared it side by side to several other E and F graded (GIA) diamonds and it was definately more colorless (hmm more colorless?) than any of the other Fs, but just slightly less colorless than the Es.

Sarin Data

depth: 60.3
Crown angle: 35.4
crown height: 14.2
pav angle: 40.3
pav depth: 42.2
culet: 0.4 %
table size: 59.3
girdle: 3.8 %
prop: VG
Symm: VG (0)

HCA gives it a 1.3

price: $13,000

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Cut looks nice --steep crown/low pavilion combo. The girdle looks quite thick, though. Is it faceted?

Yes the girdle is faceted.

GIA says "Slightly thick" sarin says "thick"
