Looking for help deciding on diamonds

I have finally come close to purchasing a ring from bluenile.com and wanted some advice on if im getting a good deal.

I am willing to pay the extra 80 bucks for it to be 1 and 1/3 cttw im just worried about the thick to very thick on one of those side diamonds, they will go in a platinum setting that is 5% ruthenium with .23 cttw in accent diamonds. Thanks for any advice.

i read one of the other posts on princess cuts so i have asked for ideal-scope photos for some. I am looking to build a 3 stone princess cut ring in platinum with accent diamonds for around 3500 with a cttw of about 1.25 to 1.5. Id like everything to be at least eye clean and g or better color. I want as much brilliance and fire as possible while still getting a good deal. If i can get the photos i will post them

I am open to other options. While looking around on the net i had a lot of trouble looking for a 3 stone setting with accent diamonds that still let you select loose stones for the side diamonds. I kinda wanted the diamonds and setting from the same place so it came as a complete package. I am trying to limit myself to 3.5k but i could swing as high as 5k if its a really good deal. while looking though i found the extra 1 to 1.5k to take the ring to 1.5 cttw while still maintaining good proportions only makes the diamonds about 10% bigger.

oops, forgot to mention that i did already receive the reply about no ideal-scope images. I had also asked for crown height but im not sure she responded about that unless cut appraisal machines are whats used for that as she said they are very unreliable. Also can someone tell me if the thick to very thick girdle would affect the fire and brilliance. Thanks for any help

Thick to very thick girdle only makes the stone looks smaller for the weight, should not affect the optical performance.

I think it would look even nicer if it was princess accents, but basically a 3 stone ring with extra accents.

I''m not great at remembering settings, but don''t recall seeing one like that for princess. There are some ladies on PS that are great at finding settings, though. Maybe they will have an idea. Otherwise, you might need to have a custom one made. You could ask Whiteflash or Brian Gavin Diamonds for a quote.

I started looking at whiteflash but they do not have a very good selection of princess diamonds in house and i find their searching is very lacking, its hard to compare diamonds without adding them all to the compare section. what other places have ASET images? Does anybody have any experience with bluenile signature diamonds or the quality of bluenile in general? I also notice that whiteflash has a much higher depth percentage on their princess cuts, usually around 75%

AGS and GIA are the top labs, but only AGS give a cut grade for princess. An AGS0 has not only passed their criteria for cut parameters, but also for light performance. While there are many great stones that do not earn an AGS Ideal rating, I would feel confident that any that did would be a beautiful diamond.

im glad i came on here, its interesting that no AGS 0 princess diamond on bluenile is a bluenile signature. And those AGS 0 have close to that 75% depth and a much lower table. I guess its back to the drawing board. I found a ring on james allen that has the princess cut accents in channel set which i like a lot but no options for the side stones which are only .62 cttw for all 8 accents and the 2 side stones.
