Looking for budget advice

I've been shopping diamonds for weeks on Union Diamonds, Blue Nile, James Allen and the like. Just wanted to put feelers out there in case anyone in this community had some awesome ideas. I'm on a $2000 budget, looking for a round or princess cut diamond in a classic solitaire setting. Union Diamonds seems to have larger stones available, but the setting is almost twice as much as James Allen. Any advice on what stones you would be looking at on this budget? I'm obviously trying to get the largest stone I can that does not look like I skimped on quality.

They sell stuller settings , if you think this might work for them, it would be in budget (probably under even in platinum)
