Looking for an engagement ring

Hey guys,
I am looking for an engagement ring and have gotten a nice bit of info, but I am still no expert. I am looking for a white gold or platinum ring with a few side diamonds or bagguets. My girlfiend wants an oval center stone and I am looking for one about one carat. Color is the most important thing and clarity could be sacrificed as long as it is not visible to the human eye. I have also heard about "the bowtie" with oval diamonds and obviously want to steer away from those. I am looking to spend less than $4k and would love to hear your ideas and suggestions on where to look.
