Hi,
I am brand new to this site and wanted to get some feedback on channel set 1/2 or 3/4 diamond eternity rings. My husband wants to buy me an anniversary ring (9 years) and I really like the channel set rings with the smooth bands. I would like one about 4mm in width or more and preferably 1ct. I really want a nice diamond (H or better) and good clarity (S1 or better). I have heard that the 1/2 or 3/4 bands are better because the diamonds don''t get as banged up. I also want 14 yellow gold because that matches my wedding set (which is diamond and sapphire--I will post a picture soon!). I am really looking to find out what a fair price to pay would be and what people''s thoughts are on buying off the internet. I see alot of "deals" on ebay but it is hard to believe that you can get a 1ct H-G V2 ring for $599...Thanks for any feedback!

do a little search on this question and you will find lots of responses. lots of people here have both 1/2 and full and they have various reasons. good luck!

I know this isn''t exactly the answer you are looking for, but my husband has a white gold princess cut channel set band with E VS1''s, 9 of them, and it totals over a carat. We payed $1200 at a B&M. I had custom made round in white gold channel set G VS2, 9 of the rounds totaling 0.63ct. We payed $300.
Blue nile has one exactly like you are describing for $1600 link so I am sure you could find one for cheaper than that. I would think you could find one for around $1000.
I think most people here would suggest you stay away from ebay. I suppose there are a few good sellers, but we hear to many scam stories here. Buying online is a good option, but be careful there too. If you find one somewhere, you can always ask on this board if anyone has used that particular site.
Congratulations on 9 years!

Check out www.signedpieces.com. Many PS members have gotten rings from them and have been incredibly happy with their quality and their prices!

Who is B&M?

Who is B&M?
B&M means a "brick and mortar" store...as opposed to an internet vendor.
