First time buyer here.

Been doing months worth of research. The problem is when I get close to buying I start to look further into the stones and hold out. I plan on popping the question in the next 30 days so I better start the buying process now.

Here the basic explanation.

She loves this setting for it.

I would love to find a great stone under 3k to fit that setting. I have searched around and seem to be in the sweet spot of:
.75 carart to .80
Color: H-E
Just needs to be eye clean aka :SI1

I have gone to a few stores in the area (Boston/Providence), nothing in the store seems to stand out. I have seen a few E color SI1 stones that look great to my eye. Also saw a H that looked great but was priced high. I would like to find somthing that sparklers around .75 or higher.

that the diamonds that stands out. Anyone have any suggestions or hints at finding a good one.

thanks

I was just looking up those True Hearts cut diamonds. Are they worth the extra price?

Ditto

This one hits some nice numbers in the crown and pavilion (my sweet spot numbers), is H si1 and gets you over the .8 mark, under $3K, and is right at the 6mm mark.

H/A is not a guarantee of light performance, it measures facet symmetry. You can absolutely have a great stone that is not H/A and has good performance, but some people like the extra symmetry, and it comes at a premium. In your case, I'd focus more on maximum size for your budget with good performance and nice symmetry rather than perfect symmetry, but that's just me.
