Hi, all,

I just found this 0.75 ct J-VS2 diamond from James Allen.I am wondering if it is a good one to buy. Will $2000 be a deal for it?

Can anyone explain the "CLARITY CHARACTERISTICS:Twinning Wisp, Crystal, Feather?" What does that mean? Will that affect the diamond. The gemologist stated that the inclusions on the diamond do not appear offensive at all and they blend well. But I am still a little worry about it.

Also I calculated the HCA=1.5
Light Return Excellent
Fire Excellent
Scintillation Excellent
Spread Very Good

Thank you so much for your advice.

This will help explain the inclusions that you are asking about.

Your stone is a VS2 a is likely eye clean and without any durability issues. Labs consider durability when they assign a clarity grade. Did you ask the GG if the diamond was eye clean? At what distance? Clarity is evaluated in the face up position, so if it's important to you to have the stone eye clean from the side you will have to ask that as well. Most vendors consider eye clean to be at normal viewing distances, 10-12in. If you want it clean at 6, 8, you will need to ask this specifically. The cleanliness of a stone can have a lot to do with eyesight too, there are some people that can immediately see a crystal, others struggle, so if you have hawk eyes, you may want to take that into consideration.

A VS2 is typically an eye clean stone and a great value. Your stone looks really good from the images, if it's eye clean to your standards then it will likely be a really beautiful stone for you.

Thank you so much for your very helpful advice on clarity. I will call the GG up and make sure if it is eye clean at certain distance.

I think it looks great, and without the price premium of a True Hearts branded stone.

It is gorgeous.

Nice looking diamond! I think you shouldn't have any eye clean issues - and that ASET and photo is already magnified 20x so whatever you could possibly pick out should not be visible when set. Looks good to me - and you (or your GF...??) are ok with the J colour, right?

I do not think J color will matter a lot. Thank you so much for your advice.
