I have been looking for a ring like this one. This vendor seems fairly suspect and I''d like to find something similar from a more reputable vendor. I think the ring is actually a channel setting (Or at least would prefer that to a tension setting). While I have found similar settings, I have been unable to find a similar rough-hewn look. I''d be open to suggestions around diamonds as well.

Thanks!

Well, the craftmanship and metal work leaves a lot to be desired. And THAT'S the photo they chose as the invitation to BUY the ring.

Do you have your own diamond? If you just want the setting there are many jewelers on here that can make something similar (but with much better execution).

If you don't have the diamond... well, that would be your first step.

ETA: Regarding "rough hewn"... I don't really think that's intentional-- I think it's a flawed finish, not an intentional design choice. It's like the difference between buying a piece of furniture that's distressed for style but is new and secure. And going to a store and buying a a damaged piece of furniture that's sub-par quality.

That is a very intriguing design. I think, if executed well, it would make a beautiful ring!!

I agree with Gypsy. WHile the design is unique, the finish could be better.

very nice design, you can have one of the PS vendor replicate it, with probably better craftsmanship. Although I also like hand crafted items by etsy, I''m just not sure if I would do so with a diamond from them? but thats just me, and with only 2 feedback

Does anyone have any suggestions for a designer for this ring? I would love to have some recommendations to start from.
Thanks.

I''m not sure if you were looking for a specific vendor who could design that ring exactly, but I saw this and thought you may want to take a look since it focuses on tension settings. Maybe this could give you some ideas.

Sholdt and Steven Kretchmer also make some neat tension settings, in case you'd like some more inspiration as well

if you''re looking for tension set, try looking at gelin abaci too... or scroll through Micky Roof''s page... they have plenty of views of the rings...
