I want the most exceptional cut I can find.
I am considering this stone.
What do you think?
Do you know of a better choice?
I want to buy a stone I will never want to upgrade in quality.
It is not worth it to me to pay for stones that are in the D, E IF range.
My line of work has me using microscopes a lot and I wouldn't mind a VVS1 or VVS2 (mind cleaner) but this VS2 seems pretty clean per the plot.
Pics expected tomorrow.

HCA based on AGS numbers is Ex Ex Ex Ex 0.6
HCA based on Sarin numbers is Ex Ex Ex Ex 1.0
Why are these different?
I realize they are both Excellent, but which one is more likely to be accurate?

Is a thin girdle something to avoid since this pebble may go into a tension setting?

I'll try to post more pics Thursday.

The scores are different because those measurements are not 100% precise (not they could ever be - that's as good as Sarin gets) so two measurements yielded two approximations of reality...

Perhaps one of the instruments used is more acurate, but this is not usually disclosed. For once, I have no idea what AGS is using to measure diamonds.

The IS image is more true to nature than measurements. And it looks terrific!

About the tension setting... only the setter can tell you this. Who is going to make it ? Have you talked with them yet ?

Looks pretty good to me

I agree!

ditto... there arent many dead on 1ct stones out there which will score an Excellent on spread.

And other great job by WF there :)

Thank you.
I am trying to post anothe pic of the flaw near the girdle.
I am a computer dummy and am having trouble.

I am worried that the flaw will be an issue for a tension setting.
If so I need to select another stone.

Stay tuned.
