Re: Looking for a good dealer of morganite- any suggestions?
A few years back there was an outfit called the "Pink Emerald" company (or something like that) trying to corner the market on Morganite. They were buying up everything they could get their hands on. I don't know what ever happened to them, but you might google it and see what you come up with. Somebody is sitting on a bunch of good material.
Color is more important than cut in the case of this stone. You want a nicely made stone, but don't get too caught up in angles and percentages. You want a make that produces a nice even distribution of color with good saturation. Otherwise the stones are very pale, especially in smaller sizes. Ironically, cutting that produces max brilliance may take aware from the overall eye appeal of the stone.
