I am having trouble finding H&A stones in the 1.35ish ct range for around $8500ish. So far seems like my searches have just shown me much bigger stones for my price range when I know I can do better with a slightly smaller stone (1.35ish) with improvement in color. Whiteflash had one around this price range but for a much bigger stone size than I want (1.60) - I have no use for the extra size.

Looking for:
H&A
1.35 ct
J w/ strong fluorescence (or higher color)
VS2 or eyeclean SI1
AGS 000
HCA 0 - 2
around $8000 - $9000

Please help - if not, I will end up gettning the 1.35 I VS2 (see other thread), which is not bad at all but I really want to get a H&A diamond if I can.

I thought I would mention this one, Infinity H&A, it is SI2 and a little smaller than you stated, J colour and neg fluorescence, but I will post it anyway to see what you think

One from GOG

I colour with med blue fluorescence

As with all SI clarities, check with the vendor whether such a diamond is eyeclean to your standards or not.

in case you wanted to see the 1.35 I VS2 i was referring to (my backup stone), here it is (poor Hearts and arrows).

thanks lorelei does GOG give a pricescope discount? the $8000 one from GOG looks okay - i'm afraid the lack of fluorescence will allow its true J color to shine through. my side stones are G & H in color. the 1.29ct one looks okay. how much smaller will it look compared to the aforementioned 1.35 I VS2?

GOG gives a discount for bank wire payments definitely. As to how it compares for face up size with the 1.35, do you have the diameter measurement of that one please so I can compare the two? The 1.29 being an I colour should be ok with your G and H side stones, generally the advice is to keep within 2 colour grades with centre and side stones.

And you are most welcome!

lorelei, i don''t have it with me but i recall it being about 7.10mm

If you could check what both measurements are then that would help - for example 7.10 - 7.15, that way we can see how the two compare.

I wouldn''t call them poor. Perhaps not quite to the level of the GOG stones, but not "that" far off. On the GOG stones, I like them both. You might ask them to compare and pick the best one, if the diameters are both ok with you.
