A great generic is fine. They are hung up on GIA though (should have mentioned that).

50K isn't going to happen In J or better.

At 60ish there are a number of J's that came up. But they had issues with angles (though the HCA is was good). I didn't find one that was 'buy it' worthy.

Honestly that WF one is the best.

4 carat stones are rare as you know.

If I were you, I would have the person shopping work with Wink to find a nice GIA stone.

What do you think of the potential eye clean factor on that one? I spoke with WF and the lovely lady there said she would ask the person who has it in actual inventory but the answer I'm likely to get is that it's eye clean...

WF tends to be honest about that. Twinning wisps are the grade setting inclusion. SO it's got a good chance if that feather is small.

The crown is a little low, but higher than any I found. So I'd say it's acceptable.

Ask them if the twinning wisps are affecting the brilliance of it.

How about IDJ? If you give them a specific set of strict parameters and a price, or show them this stone and say what else can they come up with, they have found some eye clean wonders in large sizes for people.

Really any of the vendors can do the hunt for you, but a NY one is a good choice because they have such easy access to suppliers. That stone above is okay, but if I was spending that kind of money, I'd really want great cut more than anything...of course, it has to be eyeclean. I remember Bliss got a 3.98 or something just under 4 cts and probably saved a ton! The thing is, many/most? SI1's are not going to be eyeclean from top and sides at 4 cts, and to go to VS2 is going to surpass their budget. They might need a pricing reality check.
