Looking at a radiant next week

I''m going to meet with a diamond broker/dealer/person?? next week. She said she has a beautiful 1.58 square radiant and I''d like to see it. I don''t know any of the other specs yet. However, I thought about maybe setting it in platinum with a tapered baguette on either side. If I go with this size diamond, what size baguettes do I need?

what happened to the ritani that you fell in love with?? I really have no idea what size sides you would need. It would probalby depend on the spead of your stone. I would think you could find a premade setting and you wouldn''t have to worry about it. Have fun with your diamond broker. When my stone chipped and I had to meet with the insurance co. they sent me to a broker. She had tons of stones from me to look at and it was fun to play in a no pressure to buy environment.

LOL!!! I AM indecisive!!! I''m almost at the point where I''m just like "Jon, just pick something out and give me the damn ring!!!" I did love the EL setting. But I want to make sure it''s what I want. I wasn''t happy letting him pay $9,600 for a one carat stone with teeeeeeeeny tinnnnnnnnny micro pave stones worth only a total of one third of a carat. I''m just not sure! I''m going to be so annoyed if I have to wait to have a ring ordered/made in my size. I can''t wait another 5-6 weeks!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey VuittonGal- just like a bag has to match....well I know it should match something - In a similar manner side stones must match the center- my suggestion is to use the center diamond as a guide- and use the force Luke......seriously- once you look at the three stones next to each other it becomes apparent if they go.

I love the look of traps or trills next to a radiant, quite spiffy if you ask me. Good luck and have fun in your search. And no you won''t drive us crazy, that''s what we are here for. BrightSpot will kill me for this, but she was all over the place before she decided on her ring and it''s amazing. (I held her hand through the whole process) Have fun and don''t forget to try other shapes on as well.
