I have narrowed my search down to 3 diamonds. All of the diamonds score in the excellent range on the HCA and appear near perfect. Any help would be appreciated.

The first (https://enchanteddiamonds.com/diamonds/view/R83-S2KX7H) is a .83ct., E, VS2, with a Depth % of 62.5, and Crown/Pavilion angles are 35/40.6. Cost is $4,470 US.

The second (http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-3372526.htm) is a .948ct, I, VS2, with a depth % of 61.9, and Crown/Paviolion Angles are 34.6/40.8. Cost is $5975 US.

The third http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/d...ls/0.926-i-vs1-round-diamond-ags-104077663012 is a .926ct, I, VS1, with depth % of 61.9, and Crown/Pavilion Angle of 34.6/40.8. Cost is $6,246 US.

This diamond only has the AGSL image, and it wont upload here, so please check the link.

I appreciate your input and hope to buy this week.

What is the reason for the wide range in color from an E to an I? That is a huge difference. If you are ok with I color I would throw the E out and search enchanted in the G-I color range. Then you'd be able to get up in size equal to or larger than the whiteflash/BG stones at the same pricepoint. If not color sensitive, I'd opt for one of the larger super ideal cut stones you have listed. No reason to pay for E color if I doesn't bother you.

The large range is because my girlfriend didn't seem to mind an I.

I found the E to be an amazing value and the proportions to be near ideal.

It does look like a good price, but you're giving up size to get it. And if E isn't necessary, I wouldn't be looking at E stones to just to try to find good value. I would be looking at ideal cut in H to I color range and looking for good value there if she doesn't mind H. You'd be able to get a larger stone no doubt, not that size is what is most important to her, but most women don't mind it. What is her order of importance as far as the 4 c's go? That is what is most important. I'd hate to recommend the E just because it seems to have better value if she isn't going to notice the color difference anyway. The size difference you'd give up may be noticeable while the color may not be. Will she be interested in upgrading in the future do you think?

She has expressed an interest in retaining the stone for life.

Her order would be Cut > > > Carat > Color (nothing more yellow then I, but she noticed a small tint of yellow in I), >Clarity (eye clean).

We went and looked at stones and did notice a difference between a .7 and 1, thinking the .7 was too small. However, when she viewed .8's, .9's, and 1's she thought they all were good.

I am trying to stay below $7,00 for everything (solitaire, 6 prong white gold/platinum settings are looking between 500 to 1,500). I mostly stayed in the F-H range in searching in this budget and found 28 diamonds, which I narrowed to these 3. Do you think there may be better one's out there?

Thank you for your help Pfunk.

I'll look and see what else I can find that might work for you. Did you happen to look at superideal stones vs ideal cut? Or were you looking at run of the mill chain jeweler diamonds? Were they GIA graded?

Here are quite a few others to check out. See if any of these catch your eye.
