I have a couple of local jewelers. One is a one-man-show I found through the pawn shop. I love that guy.
One is a Rolex and Forevermark retailer. The owner is a really funny guy, very sharp/clever, and his store was well known for an annual weeklong treasure hunt (discontinued a couple of years ago from being too popular and crazy).
He is the current AGS President! I want to do something nice for him before the big annual convention (CONCLAVE, this sounds so funny to me as a Catholic).
Trade members, I’m especially interested in your opinions! Send flowers? Buy a keg and invite his friends and colleagues to send him off? I could make it a treasure hunt, hah!
He does things like whiskey tasting at the store, poker night, hosted a “owner drive” for a new coop grocery store that included wine and chocolate. He does lots of things that go above and beyond.
I did a custom diamond/sapphire anniversary band with them and most recently, I had my pearl/diamond leverbacks made through them. I plan I have my opal set there early in 2019.
Anyway, ideas? Or just keep giving him more business, lol!?
