LM/SK/VC for engraved setting?

Hi everyone,

I'm in the market for an engagement ring; my girlfriend likes engraved settings like these Tacoris:

So, my question is -- given how much the Tacori brand would add to the cost, is it worth it to go custom with LM/SK/VC, etc? I know that people typically look to them for pave/halo settings, but I don't know if they (or any other vendors out there) are really good at engraved settings.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions!!! We've looked around, but so far we haven't found any other sleek/elegant engraved settings other than from Tacori.

Victor does beautiful engraving but I'm not sure he is priced any less than Tacori

Thanks for the input, mrssalvo! Do you (or anyone else) know about the estimated cost? I think she might be interested in something custom/handmade (as opposed to the Tacori), but I don't know how much Victor would charge for engraved pieces - and I'm always reluctant to ask for quotes when I'm not sure if I'll be going that route (though perhaps that is just me being silly).

Just email Victor a picture for some reference and ask him, he's very approachable and easygoing. You are by no means commited to him by just asking for a quote and he wouldn't have an expectation of such.

I would send the pics to ERD, VC and JBEG and get quotes from all of them. I believe any of them would do a beautiful job, but I agree with Mrs. Salvo, VC may not be any more affordable than Tacori. Good luck and let us know what you decide.
