I''m thinking about getting the Leon Mege claw prong solitaire setting for a 1.3 carat stone, but I''ve only seen pics of the setting with diamonds >2 carats. Please post if you have pics of that setting with a smaller stone! I''m also looking at the LM four prong solitaire, but can''t find pics of that one with a small stone either. Would the claw prong setting be too much for a 1.3 carat stone?

Thanks!

There is a LM thread that has some beautiful rings with diamonds in your range and with the double claw prongs. If you do a search for Leon Mege it should come up.

I have a three stone with a 1.2 RB, it does not have the double claw prongs. I can not figure out how to shrink my photos small enough to post here so I can''t show you what they look like-sorry. They are very dainty prongs and you can hardly see them. His work is outstanding and I love his solitare!

here''s the thread with all the Leon rings. Although Leon doesn''t show a lot of the 1 carat stones on his site he does do them. as for single or double claws, i''d probably leave it up to Leon as his artisitic eye for what really looks best is always spot on.

Thank you for posting the thread! I''m still not sure if I like the LM claw prong solitaire, LM four prong solitaire, or SC Tiffany replica (the prongs look pretty big on the SC replica for my stone). I think they''ll probably be around $1200-$1300. Advice?

i vote the Leon claw prong...

The Leon. But understand that you need to tell him to set the stone so you can wear a wedding band with it. Also, he will tell you that only a band that has metal on the sides (like a bead-set or channel set band) will be acceptable.

I will definitely post pics when it''s all done. I''m still deciding between three different ~1.3 ct. stones (from GOG, WF, SC). I''ll probably post for opinions on the stones very soon. Thanks for all of your help!
