How does the acronym work in your head?
The forum is "Ladies in Waiting," so presumably LIW would mean "Ladies in Waiting." Or is the LIW acronym separate from the title of the forum, making "L" singular - "Lady In Waiting" ?
I've seen people type LIWs which would be "Ladies in Waitings" or "Lady in Waitings."
I've typed LsIW in the past which would either be "Ladieses in Waiting" or "Ladies in Waiting," depending on whether you consider the LIW acronym to be separate from the forum title or not.
I just saw "MIWs" in a thread, which would be "Men in Waitings" or even "Mens in Waiting," unless the acronym is a word/label in itself and then it would just pluralize Men in Waiting as a unit.
I know this is an obnoxious thread, but it's something I've wondered about from time to time!
