The weather cooperated and the forecasted rain/thundershowers made way for blue skies and a perfect day. My FIANCE!!!! is my dream come true and I am truly beyond happy. A photo journey of my day will follow soon, but I thought I better let my PS LIW know ASAP!!!!

OK, the day started with me planting a bunch of stuff in my garden, since I got up before my FIANCE!!!! When he woke up, he told me that today was the day. Eeekkkkkk. He approved my outfit as proposal appropriate and off we went.

First stop was our favorite restaurant. It features vegetarian, local, organic produce. It was also the location of our first official date. We had a very yummy brunch and then headed off for a walk along a shopping street. My FIANCE (EEEEKKKKK, I LOVE THAT!) spent way too long in a lingerie store looking for the perfect wedding lingerie. He is very specific about these things.

After our brunch/walk, he took me to a park in our city that I had never been to. I told him in the car that I was in his hands today and he could decide what we did. So off to the park. The weather was about 28 celcius and calm and sunny. Just gorgeous. He dropped me off to "get something" from the car.

Here he comes from the car, acting like a goof, as usual!!!

So he decides we should go on a canoe ride. I am not an "outdoorsy" girl, so this doesn''t sound great. But I agreed to go with anything, so I said, sure.........

We buy the tickets, and he tells me that he will be doing all the rowing and I will just sit and relax and be pampered. Much better.

So I kick back to enjoy the view....

Here's the view. Just a lovely meandering little river. So peaceful and lovely.

So after about half an hour of rowing and chatting and joking, he stands up.......

And asks me to be his wife. He pulls out the ring, and through the tears, all I can think about is "please don''t drop the ring in the water...."

LOL! What a great proposal, and so happy there was no extra ''surprise'' of the ring escaping! You two look so cute afterward, and that ring is just GORGEOUS!!!
