I stopped when I was in the mall. The 60 - 80 percent is not really true. That is probably off their "list" price but not off what they usually sell things for. I was looking for a pendant chain or small pair of princess earrings. It was only about $10- $20 less than usual.
Really? I was just in the one by me and everything except the watches were half off, plus another 10% off. My friend was looking at engagement rings and found a set that would usually be $2500 was $1100.

But, is that what they told you or do you really know the prior pricing on the item yourself, not just what they "say" it was?
Meaning did you previously ask to see that exact piece (before sale) and get a price on it?
I''m familiar with their prices on chains and princess studs (previous purchases there) and their "60 -80 percent off" was only $10 or $20 off their regular price.
I was looking at buying a WB there but I set a price it must hit before I''d pay for it...needless to say it never got there. I still think it was a good deal. 1/4 carat diamond bagette and round alternative platinum band for like 450.00ish??? I dont remember. We would have bought it but we wanted to get a price comparision so we went to Jared and found the same ring in WG. It was like 250.00? My ER is WG so we''re just going to get that one.
As for the rest of the prices, we checked out a plain WG band...they wanted $60 bucks for it, not including sizing or warrenty (cuz they were going outta business) but I went to Jared and it was 60.00 +the warrenty 15.00??? Which is free sizing, plating, etc.
I just need the WG band until we have the wedding ceremony (then I get the diamond one) because we''re getting married at the JP in a month or so. So we ended up at Walmart and for 28.00 bucks I got a WG band, lol. It''s not like I''m ever gonna wear it again!
We had a K''s Merchandise around here. I worked there as holiday employment so I was familiar with the prices. They went bankrupt (too bad because they had GREAT deals on diamonds if you knew what you were doing! AND a full trade in!). Anyway, they advertised this huge blow out, but really they had this weird pricing scale where they''d have a ring marked for say 3000, but everyone who worked there knew they''d go as low as $1200 if you tried to negotiate. Customers would think they were getting over if they got you down to $2000. When they had their final sale, they ended up selling the ring for $1300. I wonder why they just didn''t sell the rings for cheaper in the first place! Maybe they would have been able to stay in business!
