Does anyone have pictures or know of any links that would show pictures of 14k or 18k palladium white gold rings that are NOT rhodium plated? I''m considering this option, and I''m curious to see what these rings look like with no rhodium plating to see how white or gray (depending on various people''s opinions) these rings look. I''m wondering if I could do without the rhodium plating if it looks okay. Thanks.

Here you go.

  1. 18K yellow gold
  2. 18K white gold, rhodium plated
  3. 18K palladium white gold, not plated

Wow, John, thanks for the quick answer! Out of curiosity, how does number 3 in the picture look compared to platinum? Do most people plate the 18k palladium white gold or go with it as is?

Different strokes for different folks Breezee. We have always gone ahead and plated pd WG because our clients express a preference for the whiter look of rhodium. That doesn't mean it's everyone's cup of tea... There are people who prefer the look of platinum after it develops a patina, a satin or matte finish instead of high polish, yellow instead of white gold, rose instead of yellow, filet mignon instead of scallops...
