So, we''re going to check out a venue on Wednesday that I am sooo excited about. They do not provide linens, so we would have to rent them, or bring our own. The caterer can provide the linens for a price of $9 - 25 per table - but the high end is way out of our price range, and I''d like to find someone else who can provide for a lower cost. So, this got me thinking, and googling, and I found some companies who do rent linens and chair covers online to the lower 48 states.

Has anyone had experience with an online rental vendor? If so, how was the experience?

We''ve got a year to plan, but I''m trying to get all my ducks in a row!

I am thinking about ordering my chair covers that way. I guess I never understood who sets them up...if they come in from an outside source (ie. via mail) Does the caterer set them up, does the venue person. I feel like its a pretty good deal!

Yes, beautiful linens will make even blah food taste spectactular. At least, they would like for you to think that. Reality is, no one will remember your table linens. No one.

I''m not advocating plain white tablecloths. But don''t overspend you''re budget on linens.

I would think you could find a local company to rent linens from that would include set up and tear down in the pricing that would be less than your venue. Even in my little town I found quite a few linen renters. Our venue would set up the chairs with sashes and such if I rented from them, but not from other companies. I had looked into one other company that would set them up for me, but I had to take them down and return them myself, which I did not like. I have no idea who would do set up if you ordered online, but if you ask your venue manager, they will likely charge for it.
