likely change in plans re bands

OK, so my ring is dropped off with Maytal. It will be similar (but much smaller than) the 3 ct princess cut with trap sides ring she did...

Here''s the problem: because I love color and loved the idea of stacking rings, I had planned on wearing a matching thin (1.7-2mm) platinum band then having a thin stacking ring between the two. I really want a rose gold w/ pink diamond and yellow gold and diamond stacking rings that I could switch out between the ering and wband. I am thinking that maybe this won''t work?

Maytal thinks it''s likely I may not want to wear a band at all with it. I don''t mind a gap; I don''t want it to fit flush, just close. So, I may end up preferring the ering alone or it will be too much wearing two very thin bands with it.

So a possible alternative: in order to have some color... what do you think about a subtle rose/yellow gold fleur de lis? Then I have my color, but if the two bands do work, they won''t clash.

I''d wait until you get your e-ring and then you''d be able to go and try on some different rings/styles to see what you might really like.

The only problem is that if I don't wear a band, I won't have any color. So... if the only color will be in the gallery of the ring that's going to be started any day now, I need to decide on that now. Rose gold is very subtle, so I think it's a safe choice. If I used yellow, it would be a lower kt weight to also be subtle. I think it would make a nice unique touch to my ring... I'm just nervous about going forward with it.

ETA: IDK... I think I'll just stick with all platinum because I am going to have a pink diamond band one way or another! Even if I have to wear it on my toe!

I think a touch of rose gold would look beautiful. it will still look great whether you wear the ring solo or with a plat. or rose gold band.

That''s a tough choice, but I''d probably go with all platinum. I''d love to have a rose gold band, too, though!
