Is the less than perfect h&a a feature of all square h&a''s?

It must have taken some squeeze to bend the round into a square... There aren''t that many of these diamonds to begin with, and this one is about as perfect as they get, as far as I know.
This probably gets to why did you want H&A in the first place. If the pattern has some symbolic meaning and therefore needs to be ''perfect'' down to the best measurable precision and regardless of what you may ever see... get a round. Otherwise, there are lots of square cuts with comparable brilliance, H&A or no H&A. This one sounds pretty darn good in that regard as well, of course.



And is this any cause for concern?

IMO, no. It is commendable enough that they could put a round peg in a square hole so to speak
