I was wondering the online pictures and 360 views of diamonds on line which have light arrows are not as good as the dark ones?!
I know it is reflecting the camera color, however all of these are taken with the same camera
Example below:
It means the pavilion is on the deep side, often with a steep crown making them steep/deep and not well cut.
A few are steep with a shallow crown which at least one expert likes because he does not like contrasty diamonds.
The lack of contrast causes a reduction in some forms of scintillation.
In theory at some pavilion angles there might be more fire but in the real world there are to many other factors for me to give it much weight.
Knowing the camera color and distance is critical in this diagnoses without the numbers.
Which is another reason that the sales pitch of having a video is all you need to know is total bs.
