I get annoyed by commericals as much as the next guy, but every once in a while one comes on that I really love.

Does anyone remember the one for some kind of stain remover where there was a guy on a job interview and everytime he tried to say something his stain would holler gibberish over him. Hahaha. Cracks me up just thinking about it.

My newest fave is airing right now and it is for one of the satelite TV providers and it has this rich guy and he says "opulence, I has it" Then at the end there is a little tiny giraffe as a pet that kisses him. I want a little giraffe!

Do you remember the Skittles commercial with the singing bunny? LAAAA lalala LAAAAAAAAA! I looooved that one! :bigsmile:

There are some fabulous commercials alright. I'll post a few from across the pond that ye mightn't have seen!

Of course, the famous Cadbury's Chocolate "Gorilla" ad. I remember when I first saw this, thinking "What is the gorilla gonna do????". Brilliant.

All Guinness ads are fantastic, but this one has always been the best. It's probably over ten years old, but many of you outside Ireland/UK may not have seen it so I'll share it! I don't know how many are familiar with the art of pouring a pint of Guinness, but what you have to do is pour it about 4/5 full, then wait a few minutes for it to settle. Then you can finish pouring. Then you have to wait another minute for that to settle. Then you can drink :))

Check out the "horse surfer" ad too. Amazing. And the evolution one. And the fridge man. I could spend all day watching Guinness ads, I think they're fantastic!

I recall seeing a fantastic new ad the other day that Fi and I loved, but it's eluding me right now...I shall be back when it comes to me ::)

oh yes how can I forget! Its the Old Spice ads with Isaiha Mustafa -specifically the 'man your man could smell like"one :lol: :lol: As I'm on my phone I dont have the direct link but just go to oldspice.com and you will find them all. Funniest ads ever- trust me, check it out! :lol:

hi porridge glad you liked it - have you seen the old spice ones?! Ok for the link, once you press the url button,instead of putting your web address in the middle of the two boxes you put it inside the first using an = sign, than you put your link name between the two boxes. this is an example incase that doesnt make much sense:
[url = address of your web page] name of your link [/url] hope that helps!
 
bwahahaha AJ, those Old Spice commercials are hysterical! I was watching tv one day and one came on and I tell you what, I laughed SO hard!

There's one from a few years back, TMobile I think? Amp Moblie..something. Anyway, this guys in the bathroom singing a song, and starts rocking out and then someone comes in and he's like "..Hi" JD and I used to pull it up on youtube and watch it over and over.

Quiznos used to have commercials w/these weird hamster looking things and they had this horrible gravely shrill Gilbert Gottfried voice but I couldn't help but love the commercials.

Jack in the Box years ago when my cousin and I were living in Arizona had the funniest commercials and we used to say parts of them all the time.

And the Snickers commercial w/Betty White cracks me up.

Am I the only one who is relieved those poor, sad mops from the Swiffer commercials now have new love interests? I used to actually feel sorry for the rejected mops. Now when a banished mop sees a lovely bowling bowl or lawn flamingo and the song "Who's That Lady?" begins to play, I feel glad for them.
 
aww the poor mops. Speaking of that song and the Love Stinks versions, does anyone else have the commercials immediately pop into mind when you hear those songs? A while ago there was a commercial of a rooster strutting back and forth on a fence to "I'm Just a Love Machine" and that's all I can see in my head when I hear the song!
 
"Low Rider" by War plays on a commercial where a dog hypnotizes his owner and steals his truck. The dog drives around picking up all of his doggie friends and that song is playing on the radio. Hilarious!

I know right isnt "I'm on a horse" just the perfect end?! Its actually really quite interesting though I was watching something on how that ad is made and apart from one or two tiny things none of it is CG-on the other side of things pretty intelligent too marketing this old fashioned product to a new generation. ::)
 
Great posts everyone. I had never seen the singing bunny one. I love bunnies dont get me wrong, but I would never trade my skittles for a singing bunny especially one that doesnt know any recent jams.

That maxi pad commercial made me laugh out loud. I had never seen that before!
 
Oh, RQ, come ON! Imagine the bazillions of dollars you could make with your singing bunny . . . that would buy a LOT of Skittles! LOL! :lol:
