Hi everyone and thanks so much for pricescope!
I have been doing a lot of research over the past 6 months and have recently found PS which is BY FAR the best
36.gif

I am trying to stay under $3000 but might go to $3500 if I absolutely HAVE TO and it involved a lot of bang for buck.

I am looking for a > 0.75ct RB with priority on cut quality. I would like to stay H or better and above Si1.
I have checked quite a few PS vendors and so far WF ACA seems to have my best options. Most of their branded stones score right around 1 on HCA whereas some others don''t score so well and are often deeper than 62.2%

They have several nice 0.75 ct stones in the G-H, VS range within $3000.
They have a few nice 0.8 ct G-H''s that are Si1 clarity. I know in theory these can be eye clean but I look at the images and see quite a big difference in the inclusions between Si1 and VS2.
Now I am stuck on mind clean. I keep thinking about showing my FI the IS/ASET images and saying, "Look babe, her is your diamond" and showing her the Si1 images and not feeling very proud about it.

So I want to get some feedback on this and also see if I can get some help finding a 0.8 (or bigger of course) ideal cut, G-H (D is acceptable)

with at least VS2 clarity.

I am eagerly looking forward to your responses

There are so many nice ones in your price range I suggest you pick a few and ask the helpful folks at WF which is the closest to eye-clean.

I like this one and the inclusions don't bother me but again you'd want WF to confirm how prominent they are.
0.825ct H SI1

0.8ct H VS1

Under budget. 0.746ct H VS1

When using the HCA you are aiming for 2 and less.

These looks good. .8c and H VS and just slightly above your 3k budget if you tell them you are from PS.

Request an Idealscope for this if you are interested.

Request a Hearts image for this if you are interested since it is sold as a H&A.

Thanks Stone,
the first one looks to have some potential and comes out at 0.8 HCA - I will definitly get an IS image.
the second one comes out 1.8 but a quick view of the IS image...
...ok I tried to attach it and paste it here but you will see instantly

The IS image is taken with a tilted stone, you can see the arrows are not the same size from the ones across the darker part of the stone, if you correct for that, the stone should look fine.

The Idealscope image for that diamond isn't very clear, maybe a retake is in order for this image considering everything together. The photo looks fine but I would personally want a retake of the IS if I were purchasing.

Thanks for your selections swingirl

I do like that first one except for the regular 40x image at 7o''clock position. I wonder how visible that occlusion is IRL. It looks almost like the surface is scratched in the picture which has me thinking it is near the surface.

The second is of course nice. I really love how bright red the ASET image shows. If I up my budget it will be in the running.

The third looks really good - at least to my novice eyeballs.

Maybe someone else can see why this perhaps did not make the ACA? I like the longer lower facts (thinner arrows). This one is now on my list too.

Another question if you don''t mind. I am looking at the measurements. Is the size difference even noticable between 0.75 and 0.8 cts? Am I really trying to talk myself into spending another $500 over a 0.10-0.15 of a MILIMETER ?!?

Hopefully some of you who have purchased diamonds of this size can help me with this.

You wouldn't notice the difference.

No way to tell why the third didn't make ACA, my guess is it could have been a contender for ACA but ' failed' in some way perhaps because of the hearts or some other reason, ask WF if you are interested as they might be able to tell you. It looks like a great diamond.

Size is not noticeable.

SUCCESS - THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP
