Here is the email from the Jeweler friend of my friend Chris. I have yet also, to confirm with Chris if this is what he paid and confirm that this jeweler is not screwing with me...or should I just go shopping for a $5000.00 ring some where....let me know. Thanks!!!!

diamonds are not certified. and tax free for cash or check-->illegal?

This sounds very sketchy...

The experts on here aren''t going to be able to give you any opinions on those stones without more info. Write the jeweler back and ask for the diamond''s table, depth, crown and pavillion angles...my guess is he won''t provide them because he knows they''re not well cut...

Do some research on the forum and in the tutorials and you''ll learn that the must imporatant "C" is cut. Notice how the jeweler told you nothing about the cut?

Also, you''re willing to pay over a quarter of your annual gross salary on this diamond????

Yes, this does seem crazy to me but it''s not my money!!

Also it is important to point out that labs don''t '' certify'' diamonds, they provide grading reports.
