She is sooo amazing in public! I even had a 3 course meal for lunch on Tuesday and she slept the entire time! First rare steak I have had since founding out I was pregnant

I spoke with Ashley at Southwest Diamond Cutters and he said they can cut the diamond to help the cut but they can’t really improve on the clarity which is fine, so now I guess I will speak to my husband about the risk of cutting and see if he is ok with doing that. They can also make whatever earring setting I would like

If you use them to make the settings, you will have to report back what you think and how their prices are. I had considered using them for the OEC I had recut, but I'm so used to using DK I didn't want to try someone new and not love the end result. But it would be so nice to have someone local who could do custom.

Will do! I figured for earrings it can’t be too much of a loss if I didn’t like the work. He quoted studs at $150 and if I went with a halo $500-600 (dependent on halo size) yes! It would be great to have someone local

She is amazing! My sons are the opposite, just as I sit down to rest or eat, they will get up. The worst is they won’t let me use the bathroom with the door closed...

How comfortable are earring jackets? DKJ offered the same price for a halo and jacket so now I’m really considering them.

I also was playing around with the small melee stones I have and I’m really leaning towards the larger 2.6mm ones which are 5 pointers (I think that’s the correct term) I guess for me if I get jackets the reason is for a more dressed up look so go big lol

The larger 5 pointers will give you more of a scalloped look once they are set while the smaller ones will be more like a round halo - nothing wrong with either just personal preference. The larger also being more of a statement. I've seen IDJ's jackets (they have a 5 pointer option and a 3 pointer option) when my friend bought hers and she opted for the 5 pointers bc they were for her wedding. The scalloped/flower look isn't really my personal preference so I'd probably choose the smaller melee.

I mailed off my rings on the 12th and haven’t heard anything from David, I emailed him on Monday to confirm he received them (I show package was delivered but I also like to have confirmation from him), since he has gone dark I was wondering if he was on vacation or something?

@KKJohnson - David and Amy were at our Boston PS g-to-g last weekend and only got home late Monday night. I'm guessing it will take them a few days to get back on top of things.

They are done! super excited I cant believe how similar in size they appear in the photos, one diamond is 1.32ct and the other is 1.05ct. I asked David if he can send me an appraisal as well so i have the full specs
