If you do NOT get a super high cathedral setting, but one that is more on the low side so technically the diamond is sitting the same height off you finger as a basket setting...
are there any pros/cons of having a cathedral setting vs a basket setting?
Many people are happy with the leon Mege version of a pave shank with a basket setting... but I was wondering if it would look as good with a cathedral setting mixed with his mushroom or v-cut pave style?

there are no picture on his web site of same type of pave... but with cathedral head. All the cathedral settings have the brightcut style of pave with thin row of metal on the edges. I like the look of less metal with the mushroom or v-cut style pf pave, but if all his cathedral settings use the brightcut pave version with metal on edges... do you think it is because only that style looks best as cathedral?
