Kind of a silly question. But how is his name pronounced? I''m planning to get a custom ring made.

Hi,

His "name" is pronounced like it is French: Meh-ZHAY.

I say ""name"" because it is not his name, which is Russian and difficult for many people to pronounce.

I just had a ring made by him. I was absolutely delighted with the results (pics/description to follow pretty soon). He is a top notch craftsman and a good guy to do business with.

Your best bet is calling him at 1.212.768.3868 or 1.800.542.1954. I e-mailed him and it tooks two weeks for a response and his response was to call him

I am also looking to have a ring custom made.
For the people who have worked with Leon Mege I have some questions.
How was working with him? How accessible is he? Did he include you in the process? Does he work to give you exactly what you want? If he didn't give you exactly what you wanted what does he do to correct that?

I saw his work and liked it a lot but I have heard some things about him that make me doubt his professionalism.

As far as people's comments about his unresponsiveness to e-mails I have to say that I e-mailed him yesterday to ask if I could go into his studio and talk about my custom ring concept and he wrote me the same day to say that he'd be glad to answer my questions over the phone.
I thought that was pretty quick - maybe he doesn't have as much work this time of the year - who knows

I would really appreciate your responces.
