i know i know, i need to post my proposal story. i finally got proposed to over the weekend!
really swamped with grad school right now, so i haven''t had a chance to upload pics of handshots. i will very soon i promise.
for now, i am noticing that the ring is about 1/4 too big. when it''s warm, it spins a little and tugs a little at the knuckle, but still comes off with no struggle. it spins like crazy and my fingers are very straight so the knuckle is not much wider than the rest of my finger. so not only does it spin, it also comes off the finger with no tug past the knuckle! i''m freaking out because i don''t want the ring to fall off suddenly on a cold day.
i''ve also heard it''s best to not resize a ring if i can help it. i''d like to do that, but if i can be convinced that resizing it once just slightly would be good in the long run then i''ll do that.
so what are alternatives? i heard leon can attach a temporary thingamajiggy to the inside of the ring to make it a bit more snug? is it ugly? and in comparison, what are sizing beads or sizing bar really? are they temporary and won''t ruin the inside of my ring? how are they attached?
what happens if it does get resized? does it ruin the integrity of the entire band or affect the pave?
my ring is solitaire with pave melee 3/4 around the ring, FYI, in a size 4.75. i think i am a size 4.5 after some weight loss.
