Will Leon Mege custom design a ring with anything other than his spiky claw prongs to hold a diamond?

I am looking to have a diamond set like this picture:

Leon''s settings are quite diverse.

There should be lots of examples in Show Me the Ring.

That is lovely!! I think they call that a tab prong. I wish I could give you input on Leon, but I know that Singlestone does that type of mounting.

Where did you find that beauty??

Email Leon the photo and ask him. He is very quick at responding to emails.

Yes, I think the type of work I want done would be more suited for Single Stone, but I live in New York and I don''t think my BF is going to want to work with a company so far away.

I have never seen a Leon ring with this type of prong. I do admire his work, but I''m not sure how flexible he is when it comes to design. If anyone knows...

Also, if you know of a place in NYC that you would recommend to do custom antique work more than Leon, I''d love to hear...

I've found Leon to be flexible. He did prongs that curl out like ribbons. It helps that you have something in mind.

This prong style is also referred to as ribbon prongs. Your example photo shows heavy ribbon prongs, but they can also be done delicately to where they barely show against the stone, depending on preference.

Beautiful inspiration ring!

I would think if your brought in a pic and said you wanted the ribbon prongs to be more delicate he''d be willing to do them for you. Good luck, let us know what he says.
