Hi, I''ve been looking for a setting and my first choice would be the Legato Sleek Line and second choice in style would be an X-prong. The only concern I have viewing over the internet rather than in person is trying to discern if it''d look odd with a .75ct diamond on my size 8 (short) fingers. Does anyone with larger finger sizes have this setting? Anyone advise against this? I haven''t been able to imagine a problem but I wanted to float it by those of you with far more experience to make a confident decision.

Thanks!

I like the sleek line better!! This is an excellent choice. Think of all the opinions that you have for bands since this is a classic solitaire. I also have very short fingers.

Hey razkaz,

Just an idea - I have just had my girlfriends 0.82 diamond set in a sleek lines solitaire, and whilst I will eventually post pictures on this website, they may not be an accurante reflection of what ou are looking for because my girlfriend has tiny (childrens) hands (ie size 3.75-4 tiny little things).

BUT, I would suggest you email WF and ask them for images of what you want - when I started searching I wanted to see a size 4ish sleek lines legato with a 0.75 carat dimaond and the good people at WF found one on their server and emailed it to me - so I could get a good idea what it would look like.

The other thing I did is go to the ''show us the ring'' section on this forum and look through pages and pages of diamond hand shots to find ones similar to what I wanted to buy (ie size 4, round solitaire, white gold etc) - gave me a good idea what I was looking for!

Hope tis helps

Diamond Joe - Great idea about asking WF for images or looking through the ''show us the ring'' section. It seems pretty obvious but I guess that''s why it very hurts to ask questions. =)

Thanks

You are very welcome - there is actually a post on the show us your ring section called ''less than 1 carat rings'' which have lots of rings less than 1 carat (obviously). I used this as a great resource to get ideas for setting on the ring I purchased.

Tip - use whiteflash - honestly, they made the process so easy!
