Ella just announced we can discuss politics now, but only on this forum ... if we behave.

So, what are your politics?

Take this test: http://www.politicalcompass.org/test/en
Post your results.

Economic Left/Right: -4.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.90

I can't figure out how to upload the picture as a jpg, but I'm down in that green corner with Kenny, Gandhi, and the DL. :wavey:

Economic Left/Right: -5.25
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.77

Can't figure out how to upload graph. My red dot appears in the green square, 3rd row down, 5th square in.

If you have an apple computer you can do a screen capture of the graph ...

Put the cursor at one corner of what you want to "take a pic" of.
Let go of the mouse.
Hold down the shift key and the command key while pressing the key for the number 4.
Click and hold mouse button down.
Let go of the 3 keys.
Drag the cursor to the opposite corner and let go of the mouse button.

This places a file on your desktop, named "screen capture XYZ" that you can upload to PS.
It is a PNG file but PS accepts those.

If you have a PC, throw it away and get a Mac.
Seriously, can anyone post how PCs do screen captures?

I figured it out. I didn't realize PS accepts png files. It's just a matter of right click, save image, and name the file on a PC.

I had closed the window I originally took the quiz in, so I had to do a retake and my score changed slightly.

Like this... ETA - used the Windows 7 Snipping Tool.

So. I'm not very political and don't know what some of those questions meant. Take this with a grain of salt. And then um...will someone explain to me what it means?

80% of PSers will be in the green box.

But what does the green box MEAN?

Rats, just lost my post.....

That is an interesting graphic way of describing ones political beliefs. Thanks for posting the link Kenny.

I see I am described as conservative, I'd have to say its accurate. :sun:

I am a truth seeker, I want fundamental facts on an issue, so I can make my own conclusions & don't want it via a talking head--one should always consider the source of information. No matter what or who.

Here's how it turned out:

Economic Left/Right: -6.62
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.79

almost dead center libertarian.........

Here is mine, I probably trust our Govt. more than people in the US hence mine being higher towards the authority end of the scale but still a "leftie" at heart;

I should make my husband take the test to see if he is right in the centre of one of the sections or over in the purple.

hmmmm....

Seems about right?

Economic Left/Right: -6.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.03

Freke, no surprise there...

Well it looks like I'm in good company.
I don't know if I'd ever self-identify as libertarian. It seems like that term comes with a whole lot of baggage lately.

Where is yours, DF?

Economic Left/Right: 3.50
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.77

Rofl this is funny!
I expected purple.
A lot of the questions I wanted a neutral option or just plain don't care about.
Numbers were -3.00 and -1.44

yea, wish there was a neutral option.

My results:

Economic Left/Right: -4.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.23

I have always considered myself socially liberal and fiscally conservative...

I can't see the chart on my computer for some reason, but this is what I got:

Side note: I have no idea what this means... and since I can't see the chart I am not sure which box I fit into

Economic Left/Right: -2.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 1.23

Interpret?

Sooo, according to those questions, I'm way more liberal than what I thought. 'course, the quiz didn't have any or very few questions pertaining to things I'm conservative on.

My numbers were:

Economic Left / Right. -4.50
Social liberatarian / authoritarian Left / Right. -1.78

My chart looks very similar to many of the above.
