The LC pots that they call "buffet casserole" - they come in 2.5, 3.5, and 5 quarts are perfect for frying - basically a chicken fryer pot. I LOVE mine!

ETA - Giada on Food Network always uses the LC buffet pot for her frying

i just got a stainless steel knob to go with my dutch oven, so now i''m going to try to make the no knead bread...mmmmm

A little late to the game, but we have a Staub dutch oven that we LOVE. We use it for everything from baking bread to making pad thai.
